Lamb Patties and Yogurt Sauce

For the sauce

Mix one cup of drained yogurt with two cloves of garlic that have been mashed with ¼ teaspoon salt. Add ¼ cup chopped cucumber and parsley (or mint leaves) to taste.

For the patties

Strip the casing from 1 pound lamb sausage and mix meat with ½ cup crumbled feta cheese.

Form the meat into 6-8 patties, grill patties on an oiled rack slowly for 5 minutes on each side. Serve in warmed pita pockets with chopped tomatoes, onions, and yogurt sauce.

Makes 4 or 5 small pita pocket burgers.
